Raleigh woman shot female acquaintance in the leg Friday afternoon, police say

RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) - A woman shot another woman in the leg Friday afternoon in the 2800 block of Herndon Village Way in Raleigh, police said.

Police arrested Nikki Nyoka Hollingsworth, 30, at the scene. She's been charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, according to online detention records.

The victim's injuries are not believed to be life threatening, police said.

Hollingsworth and the victim were acquaintances and were involved in some sort of dispute, police said.
