2 NC teen girls shot, $5 million bond for teen boy

REIDSVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) -- A teen boy is being held on $5 million bond after two North Carolina teen girls were shot Thursday night, according to media sources.

The two teen girls were among 12 people in a yard in the 500 block of McCoy Street in Reidsville just before 6 p.m., according to WGHP-TV.

The teen girl victims were 16 and 18 years old and were trying to flee after a fight broke out and shots were fired, the TV station reported.

Jalian Tyrell Scales, 17, of Martinsville, Virginia is being held at the Rockingham County Jail on a $5 million secured bond.

Scales is facing charges of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury.

The two teen girls suffered non life threatening injuries.
