City worker involved in crash while driving city-owned SUV in Fayetteville

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) -- A Fayetteville city worker was involved in a crash while driving a city-owned SUV on Monday evening, police say.

The incident happened around 7:20 p.m. on Fisher Road at the Lakewood Drive intersection, Fayetteville Police said.

A city-owned white Nissan Pathfinder driven by a Fayetteville Police Department civilian employee crashed with a silver Toyota Yaris at the intersection, officials said.

Fayetteville Police traffic units are investigating the crash and additional information will be released when it becomes available.

The names of the drivers are currently being withheld until their immediate family members can be notified.
