Henderson daylight shooting killed 2, wounded 1, police say

HENDERSON, N.C. (WNCN) - A daylight shooting Wednesday in Henderson killed two people, police revealed Thursday.

Tyheem Shabazz Person, 27, and Dyrel Jermal Kittrell, 28, both of Henderson, died at the scene shortly after the 11:30 a.m. shooting, according to Henderson police.

Devonte Jamal Jones, 21, also of Henderson, was also wounded but survived, police said. He was taken to a hospital for treatment.

The shooting took place at an address in the 200 block of Harrell Street, which is also listed as Person's residence.

Police are investigating with the assistance of the State Bureau of Investigation.
