Man rescued after falling 20-25 feet down well in Harnett County

DUNN, N.C. (WNCN) - Rescue crews were on the scene Saturday afternoon after a man fell down a well near a Harnett County home.

The incident was reported around 5 p.m. at a home along Avocado Lane, just northeast of Dunn, near Interstate 95.

Several rescue crews were spotted on the scene by a CBS 17 photographer.

The man, who fell about 20 to 25 feet into the well, was later pulled out of the well by rescue crews.

The victim was put in an ambulance and taken to a nearby hospital, officials said.

The man did not suffer any injuries in the fall, but he had medical issues that required treatment at a hospital, according to authorities on the scene.
