RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) - Gun rights supporters took to Halifax Mall Saturday afternoon.
The pro-Second Amendment rally comes just weeks after the nationwide march for our lives protest where students around the nation took to the streets to demand stricter gun laws.
Those in attendance Saturday said guns are not the problem.
"People with guns aren't bad. I mean there are bad people with guns, but guns aren't bad," said Jim Fulks of Newport.
Some at Saturday's rally also said they would like to see veterans and retired law enforcement officers providing security at schools.
"I think what we need is to harden our schools a little more. We need more counselors in school to pick out and seek problems. Guns are not the problem," said Jimmie Boyd of Forsyth County.
