Raleigh man bought, sold drugs using Snapchat, police say

RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) - A Raleigh man has been arrested on drug charges, police said. Records indicate he is accused by authorities of using Snapchat to contact his supplier.

An affidavit said police received a complaint that Charles Burney was selling "a large amount" of marijuana and Xanax from his residence.

Burney said he obtained the Xanax from a man he knows as "Prophet."

Burney, 22, of the 2200 block of Lash Avenue in Raleigh also said the two communicate through Snapchat.

Burney was charged with possession with the intent to manufacture, sell or deliver a schedule IV controlled substance.
