Person pinned in BMW, SUV flips into NC marsh after head-on crash

WINNABOW, N.C. (WNCN) --  A SUV ended up on its roof in a marsh and a person was pinned in a sedan after a head-on crash in Brunswick County on Saturday afternoon.

The crash appeared to involve a white BMW sedan and a SUV, according to photos from the Winnabow Volunteer Fire Department.

The wreck happened at Jackeys Creek Lane and River Road/N.C. Highway 133 around 2:30 p.m., WECT reported.

After the crash, the SUV rolled over into a marsh and landed on its roof, according to WECT and photos from the scene.

One person was pinned in during the crash and the entire roof had to be cut off the BMW, according to the Winnabow Volunteer Fire Department.

At least two people involved the crash were transported to a nearby hospital.

Their conditions are unknown at this time, according to WECT.
