Virginia woman in custody following machete incident

WOODBRIDGE, Va. (WDVM) - A woman is in custody after investigators say she threatened a man with a machete.

Prince William County police have charged Mannie Burton, 51, of Woodbridge with attempted malicious wounding and brandishing a machete following an incident at 12:45 a.m. Sunday.

Investigators say the incident took place at Clipper Drive and Rumbling Brook Lane in Woodbridge, when a man says he was parking his vehicle when he was approached by a woman who was yelling and threatened him with a machete.

Burton is being held without bond.
