Kathryn Hubbard

Kathryn Hubbard is a digital content producer for CBS17.com. She reports on crime, breaking news and several other topics across the Triangle and North Carolina.

Born and raised in Raleigh, Kathryn graduated from Ravenscroft School in 2018 before leaving for sunny South Florida for college.

Kathryn graduated one year early with a bachelor’s in multimedia journalism in 2021 from Lynn University in Boca Raton, Florida, a 30-minute drive from Palm Beach. While at Lynn, Kathryn was a copy editor, social media manager, assistant editor and editor-in-chief for the student-run newspaper.

Kathryn also interned at ESPN West Palm in 2020. During her time there, she gained experience working at the Honda Classic Golf Tournament and the Super Bowl LIV halftime show. She also recorded a weekly podcast and worked at local sporting events to promote ESPN.

She became a newsroom writer for the Boca Raton Tribune in 2021, covering events in Boca Raton ranging from fashion shows to charity events.

Kathryn moved back to Raleigh in May 2022 and began writing for CBS 17. In her free time, Kathryn loves traveling, listening to true crime and entertainment podcasts and spending time with her puppies and her family.
