Liz Ortiz joined the CBS 17 team in September 2020.
Prior to moving to the Triangle, Liz spent two years in Baltimore as a reporter and fill-in anchor at WBFF FOX45 News.
She isn’t new to North Carolina, though!
In 2016, Liz was a multimedia journalist for Spectrum News covering Onslow, Pender, and Carteret counties.
Her career began in New York City where she was a news assistant at WNYW-FOX5 News and NY1.
Liz earned her Bachelor’s Degree from CUNY York College in Queens, New York.
She went on to pursue a Master’s Degree from Southern New Hampshire University.
