211 - Getting Answers

RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) – Why aren’t the number of people who have recovered from COVID-19 being reported?

CBS 17 asked and the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services said there is no way to truly know the number.

There is no evidence that the virus does not return for patients who have recovered or that people will be immune to it.

NCDHHS Secretary Dr. Mandy Cohen said it will take more studies to determine the recovery numbers.
