Campbell has steadily improved in five seasons under head coach Mike Minter. After three losing seasons, the Camels have posted records of .500 or better in the last two years.
It will be a challenge to keep the momentum moving forward this year as Campbell enters its first season in the Big South Conference.
Minter, a former Carolina Panther safety, led the Camels onto the field for practice Wednesday morning. He said it reminded him of a perfect trip to the grocery store.
“Well, you know everybody’s excited because you get to see the groceries that you picked,” Minter explained. “You have to pick the groceries. Now you get to see what they look like, what they taste like a little bit, so we’re excited about that.”
