Campbell’s Jack Ryan has earned preseason honors as the Camels enter their first season in the Big South, according to a release from the school.
The redshirt senior linebacker had a program-best 103 tackles last season. That included eight tackles for loss and one sack. Ryan enters the season only 32 tackles shy of Milton Brown’s Campbell career record, a press release said.
Receiver Aaron Blockmon and punt return specialist Jaquan Brooks both earned honorable mentions, too.
Campbell was picked to finish fifth in its first season in the league. The Camels had been in the Pioneer Conference, but the Big South is a better geographical fit.
