2 dead after NC mobile home goes up in flames

LA GRANGE, N.C. (WNCT) – Two people are dead after a Thursday morning fire in Lenoir County.

According to the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office, the fire broke out Thursday around 5 a.m. in the 3700 block of Maple Grove Drive in the Timberlake Estates Mobile Home Park in La Grange.

La Grange Fire Department and the North Lenoir Fire and Rescue responded on the scene.

Maj. Ryan Dawson says while fire crews were responding, they found two deceased individuals.

Their identities are not being released at this time.

There was no one else injured or inside the home when the fire happened.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
