Duke’s Zion Williamson wins ACC Player and Rookie of the Years awards

GREENSBORO, N.C. (WNCN) – Duke’s freshman phenom Zion Williamson made a clean sweep of the ACC post-season awards.

Despite being sidelined with a knee injury, Williamson was named Atlantic Coast Conference Player of the Year and Rookie of the Year.

He was also named to the All ACC first team.  

Blue Devil R.J. Barrett was also named to the conference first team – along with North Carolina’s Cam Johnston, Virginia’s De-Andre Hunter and Kyle Guy.

Virginia head coach Tony Bennett was named coach of the year.
