Durham man shot Wednesday has died, police say; homicide investigation underway

DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) – A man shot Wednesday night in Durham has died and his death is now being investigated as a homicide, police said.

A man, now identified as 22-year-old Durham resident Timothy Devon Fuller, was shot around 11:15 p.m., in the 100 block of S. Elm Street.

Fuller suffered serious injuries in the shooting and died on Thursday, police said.

A dark-colored vehicle was seen leaving the scene and is believed to have been occupied by two men, police said.

South Elm Street was closed from Angier Avenue to E. Main Street for more than six hours. Officers had been on scene for hours taking photos of items in a car parked at a house on S. Elm Street near the intersection with Angier Avenue, near Edgemont Park.
