The Warren County Sheriff’s Office said Monday afternoon the body of a missing Virginia man was found in Warren County.
Charles Burton, 67, of Portsmouth, Va., traveled to Warren County to check on family property, according to the Warren County Sheriff’s Office.
Burton had lunch while he was in Warren County, but then vanished, deputies said.
CBS affiliate WTKR reported that there were about 30 people, including Burton’s son and daughter, out looking for him.
Burton’s body was found in woods near Fate Weaver Road, officials said.
Officials said it was not a homicide and is not suspicious. The sheriff wouldn’t comment on whether or not it was a suicide.
