Two Sailors and two Marines have been charged connection to the 2017 death of a U.S. Army Green Beret, Navy officials say.

Officials with Navy Region Mid-Atlantic said Thursday the four face charges including murder, involuntary manslaughter, conspiracy, obstruction of justice, hazing and burglary in the death of Staff Sgt. Logan Melgar.

The charges come one week after the Naval Criminal Investigative Service handed over its investigation into whether members of a Virginia Beach-based Navy SEAL team killed Melgar.

Melgar was killed June 4, 2017 while serving in Bamako, Mali. Military officials told CNN in 2017 an examiner ruled Melgar’s death as a homicide.

An Article 32 preliminary hearing for the four service members charged has been set for Dec. 10.
