FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) — About 3,000 people in Fayetteville had the chance to tour the Woodpecker’s new stadium this weekend.
Construction crews were scrambling to finish the new baseball stadium in time for the tour.
The contractor was able to get a temporary occupancy permit on Saturday.
City leaders earlier said the contractor was expected to have the proper permit by Friday.
The contracted construction company in charge of the project, Barton Malow, didn’t want to go on camera last week.
The Fayetteville Woodpeckers first home game is Thursday. CBS 17 is a proud TV sponsor.
