All American Expressway in Fayetteville reopens after death investigation

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) — Authorities in Fayetteville closed a main road for about three hours Saturday afternoon while they investigated a death.

Police were sent to the All American Expressway at Santa Fe Drive just after 4:25 p.m. about a reported death, a news release from Fayetteville police said.

 All American Expressway was closed in both directions at Santa Fe Drive.

The expressway later reopened around 7:30 p.m., according to police.

Police later said they were investigating the death as a suicide.

No other details were released.
