FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) – Fayetteville police are investigating after a man was killed in a shooting at a convenience store early Friday morning.

Officers responded to a shooting report at the Day and Nite Food Mart, located along the 800-block of Murchison Road, at about 12:16 a.m. Friday. A man was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center where he later died from his injuries, police said.

Police have identified the victim as Domingo Cook, 49.

No suspect information was provided.
