Motorcyclist dies after crash with car in Fayetteville, police say

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) – Police are investigating after a motorcyclist was killed in a crash early Sunday morning.

Officers responded to the scene on Yadkin Road near the intersection of Horseshoe Road, just after 3:10 a.m.

Authorities have not said what caused the crash between the motorcycle and another vehicle.

Yadkin Road was closed in both directions between Bonanza Drive and Summer Hill Road while officers conducted an investigation.

The motorcyclist was transported to Cape Fear Falley Medical Center in critical condition but later died.

The names of those involved are being withheld until relatives can be contacted, police said.

No other information was released.
