Tip leads to last arrest in man's murder at Fayetteville motel in 2017

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) - The last of four suspects in the shooting death of a man at a Fayetteville motel last year has been arrested, police said Saturday.

Calvin Blackshire Jr., 27, was shot at a Motel Six in Fayetteville on Jan. 19, 2017.

Blackshire's mom said video of the killing was streamed on Facebook.

Three people had already been arrested and charged in his death.

Police say the group targeted Blackshire, robbed him and killed him.

Iona Thomas, 19,  was arrested after an anonymous tip was made to the Fayetteville/Cumberland County Crimestoppers Program, Fayetteville police said.
