FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) — Fayetteville police have charged 24-year-old Jasmyne Russell-Dicker, of Sanford, in connection with the fatal motorycle crash that occured on Yadkin Rd near Horeshoe Rd early Sunday morning.
The first deadly crash happened just after 3:10 a.m. Sunday along Yadkin Road near the intersection of Horseshoe Road, police said.
In that crash involving a car and the motorcycle, the motorcyclist was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, but later died.
Police identified the motorcyclist as 22-year-old, Patrick McDill of Ft. Bragg.
The second deadly motorcycle crash involving a car happened around 7:30 p.m. along Bingham Drive at Lakeridge Drive, Fayetteville police said in a news release.
The motorcyclist, a man, died at the scene.
The driver of the sedan was transported to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries, police said.
The names of those involved in the second crash are being withheld until relatives can be contacted, police said.
Bingham Drive was closed to traffic in both directions between Fisher Road and Bailey Lake Road, as Fayetteville police investigated the deadly crash. The road was expected to reopen by midnight.
Motorists residing in the Park Place apartment complex, was blocked access and escorted by police to the complex by police, as authorities investigated the crash.
Motorists traveling north on Bingham Drive were encouraged to utilize Fisher Road, to Strickland Bridge Road, to Bailey Lake Road, to Bingham Drive as an alternate route until the roadway was reoppened.
