FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) — Police have identified the man and woman shot in a Fayetteville drive-by.
The female victim, Brooke Hunter, 27, of Fayetteville was treated and released from the hospital. The male victim, Kendall Young, 26, of Fayetteville, underwent surgery and is in stable condition.
Police believe the two were victims of the same incident. Police also believe the possible suspect was driving a gray Dodge Caravan with different colored panels.
A man and woman were injured in a drive-by shooting in Fayetteville Tuesday morning, according to police.
Police said they received a call around 12:30 a.m. regarding a shooting. A female called 911 from the 700 block of Conestoga Drive to report that she had been shot. A man called 911 from the area of Rim and Cliffdale roads and stated that he had also been shot.
According to both victims, there was a crowd of people in the 700 block of Rembrandt Street when a car drove up and started firing. Both victims were struck during the shooting, police said.
According to authorities, the man was shot in the torso and leg and the woman was shot in the leg. Both had non-life threatening injuries.
No arrests have been made and Fayetteville police did not release any suspect information.
