Dunn man shot and killed in front of his home, Harnett County deputies say

DUNN, N.C. (WNCN) - A man was killed at his home in Dunn on Friday afternoon, Harnett County deputies said in a news release.

The incident happened just before 4 p.m. at a home on Jarvis Lane in Dunn, the news release said.

Rodney Wells, 47, was shot in front of his home, according to deputies. Wells was dead when deputies arrived.

Deputies said that, as of 6:10 p.m., investigators were still on the scene.

Deputies said a navy blue, older model Buick with chrome wheels was identified as a "vehicle of interest."
