15 units fight fire at Durham home, officials say

Crews are fighting a fire at a large two-story home in Durham Tuesday evening.

The blaze was reported around 5:20 p.m. at a home at 300 Continental Drive in Durham, fire officials said.

Fire officials sent 15 fire units from Durham and Orange County departments to fight the blaze. No one was home at the time of the fire.

As of 6:20 p.m., crews were still actively fighting the fire.

The county’s fire marshal was called in before 8:30 p.m. Crews were on scene for several hours, officials said.

No one was injured. There’s no indication yet what caused the fire.

Images from the scene showed the home was heavily damaged in the fire.
