DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) – Two men were shot in Durham Tuesday afternoon, then crashed into a gas pump, police said. It happened on N. Roxboro Street near Avondale Drive.
The two victims, both men, were seriously injured and were taken to the hospital for treatment.
“When officers arrived there were two patients: two adult males, one with serious injuries, and one male with non-life threatening injuries,” Capt. Brian Reitz with the Durham Police Department said.
Employees at the BP station where the car crashed were shaken up.
They said one of the men came inside to ask for help, so they called 911. Workers also said that surveillance video captured the incident.
Police said a second vehicle was involved. It sustained minor damage and the driver was OK.
Durham police didn’t have any other updates Tuesday night on the investigation.
