2 wounded in possible shootout near Durham restaurant, police say

DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) — Two people were wounded in a possible shootout near the parking lot of a Durham restaurant on Sunday afternoon, police said.

The shooting was reported around 4 p.m. at 2726 Durham-Chapel Hill Blvd., which is the location of The Refectory Cafe.

Two people were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, police said.

Police said they aren’t sure if the shooting happened in the parking lot or if it happened along the street and the victims drove a car to the restaurant’s parking lot.

One victim is in serious condition the other suffered minor injuries, according to police.

K-9 units were at the scene Sunday afternoon looking for a possible suspect.

No other information was available from police.
