DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) — A man who has been sought for months in the 2018 murder of a Durham man is now in custody, police said Monday.

Rashawn Deleon, 21, and Antonio Johnson, 19, were charged on Feb. 14 with the murder of Ricky Yates.

Officers found Yates on Dec. 2, 2018, lying outside a gas station along the 100 block of East Cornwallis Road, police said.

Yates had been shot and died at the scene, according to police.

Deleon was already in the Wake County jail at the time warrants were issued in mid-February.

But Johnson was on the run until Monday, police said.
