5 teens, 2 juveniles stole woman's car during armed robbery, Durham police say

DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) -- Five teens and two juveniles were charged in an armed robbery involving a woman Friday night in Durham, police said.

The armed robbery happened just before 9:30 p.m. on Patriot Circle, according to a Durham police news release.

Several males who were armed took a woman's car, police said.

"As the suspects were leaving, the victim was knocked to the ground and received a laceration to the back of her head," the news release said.

Police said they were able to use OnStar and tracked the car to an area on University Drive.

Police arrived on the scene and found the seven suspects and two handguns, officials said.

Five teens are facing various charges, according to police:

Nicolas Martin, 16,  was charged with robbery with a deadly weapon, conspiracy and possession of a handgun by a minor. He is being held under a $300,000 bond.

Jorryn Deans, 16, was charged with robbery with a deadly weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery with a deadly weapon. He is being held under a $300,000 bond.

Jzimer Edmunds, 18, Jamal Solomon, 17, and Tyquez Eubanks, 16, were charged with conspiracy to commit robbery with a deadly weapon

Eubanks and Edmunds are each being held on a $50,000 bond. Solomon's bond was set at $60,000.

The two juveniles who were involved were given secure custody orders and were charged by petition with robbery with a deadly weapon, conspiracy and assault with a deadly weapon, police said.
