Durham police are investigating after a body was discovered Monday morning on South Alston Avenue.
According to the Durham police watch commander, authorities received the call around 715 a.m.
Construction workers found a body at a construction site located at 1600 block of Alston Avenue behind the Burger King.
Police told workers the death is a homicide but CBS 17 has not been able to confirm that yet.
The group of five construction workers have been working on a bridge project for three weeks.
Friday around noon is the last time the workers were at the site before rain halted work.
No positive identification has been made of the body.
