DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) — A man charged last week with robbing a PNC Bank in Durham is now being charged with three more robberies at BB&T banks that occurred over a period of eight days, Durham police announced Wednesday.
Gregory Tracy McAllister, 53, of Durham, was charged Feb. 23 with the common-law robbery of the PNC Bank located at 2313 N.C. Highway 54 East that occurred on Feb. 22. He was also charged with possession of heroin at that time.
On Wednesday, police announced that he is now facing common-law robbery charges in connection with three other bank robberies — the BB&T bank at 5407 S. Miami Blvd. on Feb. 11 and 14 and the BB&T bank at 1107 N.C. Highway 54 West on Feb. 19.
Weapons were not displayed during any of the robberies and no one was injured, police said.
McAllister is being held in the Durham County Jail under a $200,000 bond.
