Durham police ID the man found shot to death in a park gazebo overnight

DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) — Durham police are investigating after they found a man shot to death in a gazebo Thursday morning inside a park.

Police responded to a shooting call around 12:30 a.m. in the 1300 block of S. Roxboro Street at Hillside Park. Upon arrival, officers found a man dead in a gazebo at the scene, police said.

The victim has been identified as Darren Dixon, 22.

The investigation is ongoing and no other details have been released by police at this time.
