The incident was reported on Nov. 13 around 9:10 p.m. in the 100 block of East Cornwallis Road near South Roxboro Street, Durham police said in a Monday news release.

A man was found lying in the road when police arrived at the scene.

Andre Houze, 61, of Durham, was taken to a nearby hospital where he died on Nov. 28, police said.

Detectives do not yet have a description of the vehicle that was involved.
