Suspect sought after man shot in the head at his Durham County home, deputies say

DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) — A man was shot in the head at a Durham County home on Monday night, officials say.

The incident was reported around 10:50 p.m. at a home in the 800 block of Hancock Street in Durham County, deputies said in a news release.

A resident was found in the home with a gunshot wound to his head, according to the Durham County Sheriff’s Office release. 

The 41-year-old man was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Officials said that his wounds were non-life-threatening.

Alarius Montreal Liles, 26, is wanted on charges of shooting into an occupied dwelling and attempted murder, deputies said. 

Liles has connections to the Mebane area and may have left Durham County, according to police.
