Woman on bicycle critically injured in Durham hit and run crash

DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) – Durham police are searching for the person responsible for a hit and run that left a woman in critical condition early Saturday morning.

Authorities say shortly after 1 a.m., a 28-year-old woman riding a bicycle was struck by a vehicle in the 800 block of West Club Boulevard near Duke Street.

The vehicle fled the scene.

The woman was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. She is listed in critical but stable condition.

The suspect vehicle was traveling west on West Club Boulevard at the time of the collision. It should have left front damage and possible damage to the windshield, authorities say.
