Former Hoke County jailer arrested after child porn bust, police say

RAEFORD, N.C. (WNCN) - A 23-year-old Raeford man faces charges after police said he was in possession of child pornography.

Dustin Quinn Locklear faces five counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor and five counts third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor after Raeford police searched his home, officials said.

Locklear worked as a jailer at Hoke County detention center, officials confirmed to CBS 17. He was suspended from that job a month ago.

"Approximately a month ago he was placed on paid suspension. Today, we were notified by the district attorney's office that there was probable cause given by the SBI for charges for that reason he was terminated. It just so happened to coincide with an FBI investigation we had no knowledge of and we had no participation in," said Lt. S. Blakely with the Hoke County Sheriff's Office.

A warrant says Locklear obtained the images from the internet.

Locklear was arrested Wednesday and is being held under a $200,000 bond.

CBS 17 will update thi story as it develops.
