Person County Animal Services said Tuesday that the evasive emu that was last seen sauntering off Burlington Road in Person County is back home with his owners.
This was the third-known emu on the loose in North Carolina this year.
The Blind Spot Animal Sanctuary in Roguemont cooperated with the animal service to reunite Doug with his owners.
