RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — All eastbound lanes of Interstate 40 near Airport Boulevard have reopened, according to the North Carolina Department of Transportation.

A wreck on Interstate 40 closed two eastbound lanes just past Airport Boulevard around 5 p.m.

At 5:22 p.m., a NC DOT camera nearby showed two fire engines at the scene of the crash just past the sign for the exit for Morrisville and Aviation Parkway. Traffic was backed up in both eastbound and westbound lanes of I-40.
