SHANNON, N.C. (WBTW) – A man is wanted by the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office for shooting into an occupied vehicle, deputies say.

Deputies say warrants have been obtained for 22-year-old Kevin Carl Hagens Jr. of Shannon. He’s accused of firing a weapon into a vehicle along Rennert Road Wednesday afternoon around 2 p.m., according to deputies. There were no injuries.

Hagens is considered armed and dangerous, officials said.

Hagens is the same man arrested earlier this month for stealing and then selling dozens of cattle in Smithfield in Johnston County, authorities say. He’s out on bond currently from that incident.

During an investigation, law enforcement officers said they found that Hagens and others sold over 25 cattle in Smithfield.

Hagens was charged Dec. 11 with felony conspiracy, larceny of cattle, felony possession of cocaine, and possession of control substance on jail premises.

If you have any information about the shooting or Hagens’ location, contact Lt. Brandon Patterson or Inv. Joshua Rozier at (910) 671-3100.
