SMITHFIELD, N.C. (WNCN) – A power outage Friday is affecting more than 2,500 customers in Johnston County and forced Cleveland High School to dismiss early.
A Duke Energy outage map says a fallen tree or limbs may have damaged equipment leading to the outage.
Customers from Willow Spring to Smithfield are without power.
Service is expected to be restored around 3:15 p.m.
Cleveland High is dismissing early on Friday, 2/15 due to a prolonged power outage. Students will be supervised during this transition. Buses will arrive at the school in the next 30 minutes to transport bus riders home. Parents who pick up their students may do so at any time.— Johnston Co. Schools (@JCPS_NC) February 15, 2019
