CAMERON, N.C. (WNCN) – Tajuana Perkins is devastated after the loss of her two daughters and her 6-month-old granddaughter. They were killed Friday in what authorities called a triple homicide.

“Every day I live, I live for them,” Tajuana said.

Jasmine Perkins was just 20 years old. Jocelyn Perkins was 22 years old. Jocelyn’s daughter, Kareena, was 6 months old.

“I’m dealing with it, but it just doesn’t seem real,” Tajuana said.

Investigators said the three were found dead inside the Forest Manor Drive home they shared.

“The baby really made her grow into a better person. You know she was a good mom for this to be her first time. She was trying to do right,” Tajuana said.

Kareem Taylor, 24, is charged in connection with their murders.

Investigators confirm Taylor was the baby’s father. Perkins said Taylor and Jocelyn were together for about two years.

“I didn’t think he was dangerous but I did feel like he had some issues, that he wasn’t right,” Tajuana said.

Tajuana said her daughter was trying to end things with him.

Tajuana Perkins’ great-niece was also in the home at the time of the murders. Her daughters were watching the 3-year-old while she was working. She wasn’t harmed.

“Hug her and hold her — that’s all I want to do,” Tajuana said.

Tajuana said she’s grateful to her family, friends and coworkers who have stepped up to help her.

Tajuana said all three will be laid to rest Saturday.

She started a GoFundMe page. Money can also be sent via the Cash App. Tajuana’s username is $TP45.
