Man shot several times in his hands outside Wilson Pizza Hut, police say

WILSON, N.C. (WNCN) — A man was shot in his hands several times in a Pizza Hut parking lot Tuesday morning in Wilson, police say.

The incident was reported just before 10:50 a.m. at 1702 Glendale Drive, according to a news release from Wilson police.

“When officers arrived they located (the victim) suffering from several gunshot wounds to his hands,” the news release said.

The 21-year-old victim was taken to Vidant Medical Center for treatment, police said.

The victim’s wounds are not considered life-threatening, according to the news release.

“After conducting a preliminary investigation, it’s been determined that the incident wasn’t related to Pizza Hut,” the news release said.

A limited description of the suspect was provided. The gunman had a beard and mustache and was wearing a black hoodie, according to police.
