Two Southern Pines women were arrested for prostitution and performing unlicensed massage therapy at a massage parlor, the Southern Pines Police Department said on Facebook.

Genhua Zhou, 47, and Baoping Wu, 46, both of Southern Pines, were arrested. Police and investigators from the North Carolina Board of Massage and Bodywork initiated an investigation after complaints were made that Beijing Massage was operating without a proper license and was engaging in prostitution.

This comes one day after a Fayetteville massage parlor owner was arrested in Raleigh on prostitution charges.

A month-long undercover operation confirmed the complaints, and concluded with the two arrests. The Facebook post said the investigation is ongoing, and more arrests are expected.

Zhou and Wu were in possession of business records that included names, address, credit card information, and receipts from customers that received services from the Beijing Massage. Investigators will be contacting and interviewing these customers, Southern Pines Police said.

Zhou and Wu are both charged with prostitution and performing unlicensed massage therapy. Both were released without bond, pending Aug. 14 court appearances.
