Sheriff: 3rd suspect arrested in connection with deadly Moore County shooting

CAMERON, N.C. (WNCN) – Three people are now detained in connection with a Dec. 29 deadly shooting in Cameron, according to the Moore County Sheriff’s Office.

Detectives arrested 54-year-old Robert Lee Gillespie on Thursday, according to a press release. He is charged with one count of murder and one count of possession of a firearm by a felon in connection with the shooting death of 32-year-old Quentin Orlando Belk. A woman was also wounded in the incident.

George Bernhardt Roderick Jr., 37, of Fayetteville, was arrested on Dec. 30. His charges were upgraded to murder, the release said. 

A third suspect is currently detained. Charges are pending, the release said.
