An 18-year-old Garner man is facing multiple charges in connection with a parking lot brawl at Athens Drive High School on April 12 that put a student in the hospital, according to a Wake County arrest warrant.
EMS was called to the school around dismissal at 2:20 p.m. following a fight with Athens Drive students and students from other schools, Wake County Public School System said.
The Athens Drive principal and school staff arrived at the parking lot and the fight ended.
Students told CBS 17 that the injured student is on the school football team.
Jermaine Canteen, of the 1100 block of Open Field Drive, was arrested April 17 and charged with felony inciting to riot, second-degree trespass and simple assault, according to court documents and arrest records.
Raleigh police said three people were cited in connection with the fight:
- Craig Campbell, 19, was cited with misdemeanor inciting to riot, and simple affray and trespassing.

- A 16-year-old was also cited for simple affray.
According to the warrant, around 25 people were involved in the brawl. The injured student suffered a “serious concussion,” according to the warrant.
