Two people were injured, one seriously, in a motorcycle crash in Raleigh Monday night, according to Raleigh police.
The crash happened around 11 p.m. in the 3100 block of Hillsborough Street near North Carolina State University.
The preliminary investigation reveals that a motorcycle was heading westbound on Hillsborough Street when it left the roadway to the left, drove over a dirt media and then slammed into a raised traffic circile, police said.
Both the driver and passenger were thrown off the motorcycle during the crash and injured, officials said. They were transported to the hospital for treatment of their injuries. The passenger was seriously injured, police said.
Police did not identify the injured or say if any charges will be filed in the crash.
