2 gunmen rob Kay Jewelers in Garner during Tropical Storm Michael, police say

GARNER, N.C. (WNCN) - Garner police are investigating after two suspects wearing orange reflective vests robbed the Kay Jewelers off Highway 70 Thursday afternoon. 

The male suspects entered the business around 4 p.m. and stole jewelry after pulling out a handgun, police said. 

The amount of merchandise stolen is unknown at this time. 

One suspect stood around 6 feet tall and the other 5 feet 8 inches. 

Both were wearing reflective vests during the robbery, which took place as Tropical Storm Michael was hitting the area. 

Garner police are currently investigating and will release more information later.
